I still have my klx250 and I might keep it but def not what I was looking for after I got someīut no, you are never too old! pick it up, you will be glad you did. Buy a cheap used dirtbike and as you get to know more people, most likely they will let you test ride their machines. I ended up buying a new klx250, which I kind of regret lol. Only thing I can say since I am still technically a new rider is to buy a used bike. I thought they were nuts! I dont find myself doing that trail any time soon. very gnarly stuff in red cone pass colorado. believe it or not, I ride with people who are 40s 50s and seen some in their 60s hitting gnarly stuff. Tell you what, best DAM DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE. I didn't do any trail riding with that bike I used it only on the road. I know there is a following on YouTube with people and the Hawk, but perhaps it was just a lemon. I had several issues.basically something happened every time I rode it and the battery never worked. I was intrigued by the price point ($1400 delivered) and the fact that I could ride it around town. Incidentally, 2 years ago I bought a Chinese 250cc. Also, are 2 stroke 125's more suited for motocross style riding, and not really for trail riding? If so, what would be a better suited trail riding bike? Is the 4 stroke 250 better on trails?

There are so many variants of 125's that it's hard for someone with little knowledge to tell which is a full size 125 or a smaller framed one.
I've read a lot online and people recommend a 2 stroke 125 or a 4 stroke 250.
